10 for 1000 Watch list

Welcome to the Last 10 for 1000 Watch list for 2008 , Its been a an adventure trading out on the west coast, I am currently visiting family for the holidays, and did not want to take 2 weeks off of trading, So I am dealing with the 5 am wake up. and the limited hardware i use for trading. Not to mention the distractions of not trading in a professional environment. All these factors had me a little worried about the quality of information I would be delivering , both on the radio and the alerts. But them I was reminded that every situation you come across as a trader is a learning experience. My first goal in bringing you the education was also to open your eyes to the Benefits of being a full time trader, and the courage to not just take that giant leap to self employment but to enjoy the benefits from it. This past weekend i made a list of things I wanted to bring to you in the next 2 weeks. I was going to try to get a lot out tonight, but this time difference has me running behind by 3 hours. So I will take things one step at a time.

First things first lets get the watch list out then watch for continuing updates all this week on..

The last 2 weeks of Trading of the year is always on lighter volume and as you can see by the action on Friday, Sometimes it's not even worth wasting your time waiting for things to happen. The markets will be a little better this week, but there is still no definite direction. So one major rule you need to apply for the new year in this environment is let the markets bring you into a trade, Don't force a trade, all we have is time, and the markets could take days to work it's way out of a trading range, All you need is to be in that one day when we get a decisive move and be on the right side of that move and you will bank.

This weeks research has 3 sectors I want to be focused on Oil and Transports and Construction. (Basic Infrastructure)

The Infrastructure play is based on the Obama stimulus package, Which He said he wants pushed through before Jan 20th. President-elect Barack Obama is focusing his economic recovery strategy on making the biggest investment in the nation's infrastructure since President Dwight D. Eisenhower created the interstate highway system a half- century ago.

There are many ways to invest in the infrastructure sector, from the cement producers, to the construction contractors, to the engineering and design consultants. infrastructure refers to 'hard' infrastructure, such as airports, bridges and power plants, as opposed to 'soft' infrastructure such as telecommunications and Internet bandwidth. Here is a large cross-section of several of the 'hard' infrastructure companies: Note Obama's plan also will focus on soft infrastructure. So I will be looking for those band width plays this week also.

AECOM Technology Corporation (ACM) is a Los Angeles, California based company which provides architecture, engineering, construction management, project management, asset management, and environmental consulting services to governments and industry

Cemex (CX), which is a Mexican company, produces and markets cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and other construction materials for the construction industry.

Chicago Bridge and Iron (CBI), which is not based in Chicago, but in the Netherlands of all places, provides engineering, procurement, and construction services to the oil and gas, water, metals, and mining industries around the world.

Fluor (FLR) is in the business of providing engineering, procurement, and construction and maintenance services around the world.

Foster Wheeler (FWLT) provides engineering and construction services to the power plant, power generation, and oil and gas industries.

Granite Construction (GVA) is a California based heavy civil construction contractor which is working on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Alexandria, Virginia.

Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (JEC) provides engineering, architectural, technical, professional, and construction services to industrial and governmental organizations.

Lafarge SA (LR) is a France based company which sells construction materials all over the world, including cement, aggregates, concrete, and gypsum.
